Running in counterpoint to our Artisan Experience events will be a series of formal Degustations. These will be more structured meals, with a carefully planned combination of food and drink intended to show off each in their best light. The Artisans responsible for the produce enjoyed at these meals will discuss each course and give you through a more in depth understanding of it. We will be hosting one wine Degustation and one spirits Degustation each quarter.
Our first Dinner of the year on March 7th will feature a carefully selected array of Shottesbrooke Wines paired with some fabulous dishes from our Chefs.
We are pleased to be able to begin our Artisan Experiences at the dob with a fantastic Degustation dinner, in partnership with Shottesbrooke. First planted by founder, Nick Holmes, over 30 years ago, Shottesbrooke takes its name from an estate in Berkshire, England, where Nick’s grandfather was vicar of the parish from 1905 – 1926. Today, Shottesbrooke is proudly an estate grown and managed boutique winery. Located at McLaren Flat, grapes are sourced from various regions around South Australia.
At our Up Close and Seriously Social Degustation, you will enjoy a glass of 6 different Shottesbrooke wines, each paired with food designed to bring the most out of the wine. Damian and Hamish from the winery will discuss each wine with you, and tell you something of the story behind the wine. You’ll be able to ask questions, and get to know both the products and the producers a little better.
Please get in touch with us via facebook or at the DOB on 8410 7079 if you have any queries
We hope you will enjoy getting up close and seriously social with us!
