QR codes are available throughout the venue to order food and drinks. You can also use the Foodini app to filter out menu items according to dietary preferences.
Front seating area
Ground floor rooms
Brunswick Bar
The front door of the venue leads you into the Brunswick Bar.
There is:
• Natural light from windows
• Chandeliers
• No fluorescent lights
• A green emergency light
There is music at a moderate level, and you can hear footsteps on the floorboard.
You can also hear the sounds of drinks being poured and plates clattering.
There is an option of high tables and stools or sitting a stool in the bar.
In the next room, there is a couch and a coffee table. There is also high tables and stools. Staff often walk into the bar through the door, which is in this room.
Adelaide Room
You can walk into the Adelaide Room through both rooms of the Brunswick Bar.
The same music is playing in both the Adelaide Room and Brunswick Bar.
There is a soft carpeted floor, so you can’t hear any footsteps or chair scraping noises.
There is:
- Natural light from windows
- Warm yellow bulbs hanging on the wall
- Fluorescent lights on ceiling
The road is visible but noise from the road is at a low level.
Ground floor toilets
The downstairs men’s toilet is located next to the staircase, which can be found next to the Brunswick Bar.
The women’s toilet is located through a hallway, you have to walk past the kitchen which can be noisy. The women’s toilet also has changing table facilities.
All toilets have only paper towel.
Duke’s Bar
You can walk through the Brunswick bar to get to the Duke’s bar.
You may be able to hear:
- Music playing at a very low level
- Footsteps on the floorboards
- Some sounds from the kitchen
There is natural light from windows and fluorescent lights on the ceiling.
There is a mirror on the wall.
The seating options are padded wooden chairs and padded metal chairs.
The bar in this room is sometimes attended, but other times you will have to order at the Brunswick Bar or with the QR code.
There is a small divider in between the room to give some privacy.
There is a TV in the front area, which may sometimes be on.
Table 25 and 36
These two tables are in a small, enclosed space next to the staircase. You can find this through the Duke’s Bar or Brunswick Bar.
This is a secluded space, and a low-sensory area.
There is no music, and the sounds from the other rooms are at a low level. .
There is a big mirror on the wall.
You may hear people walk past and up the staircase.
There is a warm light on the wall and fluorescent lights on the ceiling.
You can see the green emergency light.
Table 25 has a couch, ottomans and a coffee table.
Table 36 is a table with hard chairs.
Secret Garden
To get to the Secret Garden, you can walk through the hallway from the Brunswick bar, or through a separate side entrance from the road. If you walk through the hallway, you have to walk past the kitchen.
Staircase
The staircase is the only way to access the upstairs area. There is no lift. There is padding on the stairs to reduce the sound of footsteps.
Some of the rooms upstairs are only for staff.
Upstairs rooms
Upstairs toilets
The upstairs bathroom is to your right as you walk up the stairs.
There are fluorescent lights and light from the frosted windows.
You may hear a buzzing noise from the air conditioner.
There are only paper towels to use, no hand dryers.
There is a small step as you exit both the upstairs male and female bathroom.
MacGowan Room
The setup of the MacGowan room may change, but there is usually 4 or 5 tables with hard chairs.
The Secret Garden is visible through the window.
There is lots of natural light from the windows, and small fluorescent lights on the ceiling.
Coleridge Room
There are hard chairs with tables, stools at high tables and fabric chairs to choose from.
The road is visible from the windows.
There is natural light from the windows and fluorescent lights on the ceiling.
Balcony Room
This room can be used to enter the balcony.
This room is very secluded and is a low-sensory area.
The noises from downstairs and other rooms are very muffled.
Road noises from the balcony may be noticeable.
There is natural light from outside and soft warm lamps hanging.
There are couches and ottomans around coffee tables. There are also hard chairs to sit on.
Balcony
You may hear the sounds from the road up here.
There are lights on the ceiling but they are not often turned on during the day.
There is a heater which is sometimes use when it is cold.
The seating options are couches, hard stools that look like keyboard buttons, and plastic chairs at a wooden table.
There is also a small table for children with stools.
